After two days of exciting First Four action from Dayton, Ohio, the long sprint to the Final Four in San Antonio begins Thursday with 16 first-round games in the NCAA Tournament. One of the most exciting days on the American sports calendar starts with a marquee matchup between No. 8 seed Louisville and No. 9 seed Creighton at 12:15 p.m. No. 4 Purdue faces No. 13 High Point in the second game of the day just 25 minutes after tip-off of Louisville vs. Creighton.
Another notable game on the Thursday slate is another battle between 8 vs. 9 when Georgia faces Gonzaga at 4:35 p.m. ET in the final game of the late afternoon window.
One of the most intriguing matchups of the first round is between two of the sport’s most legendary coaches. John Calipari and No. 10 seed Arkansas face Bill Self and No. 10 seed Kansas, and a trip to the second round will be on the line.
The second-to-last tip time of the night will be worth staying up for. No. 12 seed UC San Diego is making its first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and will face No. 5 seed Michigan at 10 p.m.
